Put a chill in the air with Iittala's Ultima Thule glassware. Glimmering with clear, textured surfaces, the organic collection evokes wintry water images like cascading icicles or a frost-covered window. This set of two old fashioned glasses feature thin, precision-cut rims and low-seated, slightly curved bodies. Crafted in a wood mold, each piece has its own special markings that come out in the glass-blowing process. At the base, bubbles of glass cluster as if they might drip right off. Three small round feet hold the vessel off the table-so the glass looks wet, but your table stays dry. Well-balanced and substantial to hold, these 6-3/4-ounce old-fashioned glasses make a handy addition to the bar and serve everyday beverages in the kitchen or dining room. They also go conveniently into the dishwasher. The classic Iittala design was created by Tapio Wirkkala in 1968 and named after the fabled arctic land.
